Researchers participating in the STAR project secondment programme took part in the 2nd Joint Interdisciplinary Workshop, hosted by the Institut Européen d’Études du Développement (IEED) in Paris, France. The workshop, entitled “Practical Insights with Cross-Cultural Analysis of ESG Sustainability Statements”, brought together researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners from Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge, share research experiences, and strengthen international collaboration.

Participants from the STAR consortium, representing universities, research organisations, and industry partners from Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, the Czech Republic, Poland, Türkiye, Austria, and France, engaged in a series of collaborative learning sessions focused on ESG reporting and sustainability communication. Invited representatives from Pace University (USA) and MAIB Moldova further enriched the discussions with international perspectives and practical insights.

During the workshop, participants examined ESG reporting practices across countries, discussed cultural and institutional influences on sustainability disclosure, and exchanged views on methodological approaches to cross-cultural ESG research. The sessions fostered knowledge transfer, academic exchange, and capacity building, enabling researchers to share ongoing work, discuss future collaborations, and strengthen interdisciplinary and international partnerships within the STAR consortium and beyond.
