STAR Project Dissemination Event Organised at Istanbul University

On 19 December 2025, Istanbul University organised a dissemination event entitled “STAR Project Field Visits: Austria, Italy, and Romania” at the Faculty of Letters, within the framework of the EU-funded project “STAR – Sustainability Transformation: Research and Innovation Network for Quality Information, Better Sustainability Reporting Practices and Business Resilience.”

The event aimed to disseminate the knowledge, experiences and research outcomes obtained during the secondment activities conducted by Istanbul University researchers at partner institutions in Austria (BEIA GmbH, Vienna), Italy (INFOR ELEA, Turin) and Romania (ASRO, Bucharest). During the event, Assoc. Prof. Tülay Kaya (Department of Sociology), Assoc. Prof. Oya Topdemir Koçyiğit (Department of Anthropology), and Assoc. Prof. Murat Çetin (Department of Economics) presented the objectives, activities and key scientific outputs of their respective secondments. The dissemination programme also featured a keynote speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevim Budak (Department of Political Science), who addressed current developments in sustainability reporting. Their presentations highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of the STAR Project and its contribution to advancing sustainability reporting practices and business resilience through research-driven insights.

The dissemination event brought together researchers, PhD candidates and undergraduate students from various disciplines who share an interest in sustainability-related topics and Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. The event provided a valuable platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, knowledge exchange, enhancing awareness of sustainability-related research outcomes and reinforcing the role of collaborative research in advancing sustainability-oriented practices.
