Elena Fleaca, representing the STAR project, participated in the 10th International Conference on Applied Economics and Business (ICAEB 2026), held on 23–25 August 2026 in Florence, Italy. Within the session “Corporate ESG, Green Innovation, and Sustainable Development”, she served as Session Chair, facilitating presentations and discussions involving young researchers and PhD students from China, Slovakia and Türkiye. This provided a useful setting for academic exchange, networking, and greater visibility of the STAR project among researchers working on ESG, sustainability, and innovation.
During the same session, she presented the paper “Responsible Corporate Governance and Power Distance in Practices: Insights from Sustainability Reports”, focusing on the relationship between corporate governance, cultural context, and sustainability reporting.
The participation contributed to the dissemination of STAR research results to the scientific community, while also supporting dialogue relevant to business and industry and creating opportunities for further international cooperation.
