Together with Prof. Edyta B. Pietrzak and MSc Ewelina Pietrzak, as representatives of the Faculty of Organization and Management at Lodz University of Technology (TUL), we participated in a rich and inspiring programme prepared by our hosts – the Romanian Standards Association (ASRO) and the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest.
30 days of the secondment have been filled with intensive activities, including the Research & Innovation Week (October 6-10) and the Joint Interdisciplinary Workshop (October 13-17). Beyond the academic agenda, our stay in Bucharest offered a wonderful opportunity to strengthen collaboration within the international project team representing institutions such as “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, State University of Moldova, Brno University of Technology, Institute of Innovation and Responsible Development INNOWO, Istanbul University, INFOR ELEA Smart Business Academy, and the European Institute for Development Studies (IEED).
Exchange of insights and experience in the field of ESG took place not only during sessions at our hosts’ institutions but also through study visits to industrial enterprises (JTI Romania SRL and PepsiCo Romania) as well as the National Village Museum “Dimitri Gusti” as part of the Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Training Activity.

Apart from the Research & Innovation Week and the Joint Interdisciplinary Workshop, our team focused on desk research related to sustainable practices in companies. Opportunities to share information on our approaches were co-working sessions attended by representatives of various partners, including Anna Mosca (INFOR ELEA), Michal Liska (Brno University of Technology), Maxime Izoulet (IEED), and the three-person TUL team. During the sessions we discussed the implementation of the research work. One meeting took place at Casa Capsa, and the second at our hosts’ headquarters, ASRO.
